About The Coral Doctor!

Milan, aka “The Coral Doctor” comes from a family heavily and historically involved in the aerospace industry. While her family focused on space exploration above, she focused on the underwater world below. Milan has maintained aquariums for over the last 20 years. After substantial experience with fresh water tanks, she transitioned to saltwater aquariums in 2017. Since realizing how rewarding the hobby is, she has been determined to help save our oceans and protect our reefs.

In 2019, Milan found her name and network within the aquarium hobby, recreational diving and ocean conservation groups. She uses her legal education to research ways to propose sustainability methods to protect our declining reefs and give insight into Ocean and Coastal Law and Policy.

Milan is a civil litigation defense attorney and has received certificates in: Aquarium Maintenance, Global Warming, Marine Biology and a Harvard Business School’s Business and Climate Change certificate to be educated in custom standards and understand the environmental impacts on land, the oceans and business sustainability. She holds an advanced open water certification in scuba diving and enjoys freediving to have a greater hands on approach in her research.

Milan is consistently networking with other conservationists, environmentalists, scientists, researchers, divers and brands who all share the same goal of protecting our oceans and educating the public on the many possibilities of protecting our oceans.
